After reading all that article..the below comment is more like the truth. I have thought that for awhile also. To me it would make more sense to try to get drunk drivers off the road, homes for the homeless and several other WORTH while things in order before they spend OUR tax money for something that just may not work except make more people homeless and cause them to get drunk to try to cure the problem that the fines caused.
"As the 40 percent increase in downloads over the last year makes alarmingly clear, like it or not file sharing is likely to (continue) on a massive scale no matter how many suits are brought and what the fine print of copyright or criminal law says," Eisgrau said. "Second, putting a tiny percentage of tens of millions of American file sharers behind bars or in the poorhouse won't put one new dime in the deserving pockets of artists and other copyright owners."
I am NOT saying to break the law but just that things should be looked at throughly first.
