Windows Installer Problems

Man I hate windows installer some times. Just started give me problems again.

Now when i run some windows installer programs like microsoft office damn windows installer pops up asking for cd of tweakxp pro. 3. So i reinstalled tweakxp pro. 3 and now its ask for microsoft word cd. So then i did that and now its asking for another one that i do have. Yet the entire time all of them work fine.

So how to repiar the damn thing?

Have tried norton windoctor 2004 and jv16 PowerTools but no luck.

no virus nor spyware my system either

um ok event viewer says:

Detection of product '{92A7ACC3-C3FA-4D46-8BCB-9457CA72F6A4}', feature 'AlwaysInstall' failed during request for component '{39EDA979-8D00-4D6E-A859-CF338FCCB081}'

and

Detection of product '{92A7ACC3-C3FA-4D46-8BCB-9457CA72F6A4}', feature 'AlwaysInstall', component '{5214DE0C-13B6-47E2-8551-A9F990BB88A8}' failed. The resource 'C:\WINNT\System32\TXPstart.exe' does not exist.

So then i copied txpstart to my system 32 folder but then when i run any windows installer progrom it gets deleted and wanting to install tweak xp again.

Of course. Not sure what it is. Have gone though about 50 now and cleaned them all. Really anorying. POS

I think norton windoctor 2004 f it up.

What about moving the C:\windows\installer dir somewhere else and see what happens

Well it seems it has solved itself out. After me reinstall a few, about 120 now. POS

Damn 80gb worth. Well next I'll make a system restore point when running windoc.
