Fujitsu has introduced an enterprise-grade, 300 GB hard-disk drive,significantly boosting the company's data-storage technology in an effort to keep pace with the competition.
Fujitsu Computer Products of America, the No. 2 supplier of enterprise storage units behind Seagate, unveiled the 300 GB MAT (75 GB per square inch) hard-disk drive, which spins at 10,000 revolutions per minute and is based on a four-platter design.
The company also has introduced the MAU drive, a 15,000-RPM, 147 GB product that also runs on four platters.
