I can't believe this inconvinience and trouble one legitimate user is getting.
Hope things go right with you in the next few days with Elecard.

Elecard Video Decoder and its MPEG2 Demultiplexer are excellent direct show filters.
I have attached a screenshot of my v1.35.
You can access those properties from GraphEdit.
You might be interested in the following page:

I am still testing encoding speeds with the following configurations:
  • Elecard MPEG2 Demultiplexer with Elecard Video Decoder and InterVideo Audio Decoder
  • MPEG-2 Demultiplexer with InterVideo WinDVD 5 Audio and Video Decoders
  • MainConcept MPEG Splitter with MainConcept MPEG Video Decoder and InterVideo Audio Decoder
I have heard that MainConcept MPEG Video Decoders claim to have 50% more efficient in decoding, compared to other decoders. However I was only able to encode it 14 minutes faster.

All the Best,
McoreD

So true. Isn't this one of the reasons that everyone left turbo tax after they tried product activation. People are getting sick of this. Really the people who buy and use their stuff legal are getting hurt.

CD-ROMS running on and off to check for CD which makes lag in the games, not to mention wear on your hardware that is not needed. Too much more to mention here.

Thanks for all the replies guys. The matter has been resolved, and in a professional manner by tech support at Moonlight.

And FWIW, the shareware version IS the one you activate with the serial number. I'm just guessing that there was no one there on the weekend to take care of the glitch I experienced.

Good to hear that belthazor.
Enjoy your new Elecard MPEG2 Player and happy encoding if you are doing that.

@GSD, has NVDVD got its own MPEG Demultiplexer too? For example: NVDVD MPEG2 Demultiplexer and NVDVD Video Decoder.
If so, are they DirectShow filters? That means I can install those filters and test them and compare with Elecard and MainConcept filters. Thanks.

Hi guys,

I am not going to comment anything about this. You look and feel yourself.

It's just funny because it is not one of my home made appz I made.

Just wanted to show you the screenshot.

Hope this will teach them to a lesson. These are not freeware, are they? We are paying for the quality as well, aren't we?

Nothing serious...No big deal...and yes of course Performance is the main priority.
