You must have just got a DVD for Xmas too. Just tonight for the first time I used Nero to make a VCD video disk on a CD-R and yes it played find in my $40 APEX home DVD player.

Nero does work if we assume your DVD player plays VCD format.

Maybe your DVD player is older and therefore don't play/support VCD.

See this thread because I had much the same question as you Bads.

Thwere are several programmes to convert photos to DVD.
Photo2VCD
Magix Photostory
Appollo burner
and the one I find the eastist to use.
PhotoSlide. from( aspect-one.com)
I have also found that some CD's will run on the computer but not on the DVD player

I just bought a Samsung DVD/VCR Combo and it will play a slide show with picture on a CD as long as the file name is only so long and doesn't have any spaces. Check the manual for your DVD player to see what it will play.

Good suggestions here, Bads. They should work.

My favorite photo slide show program for DVD is Ulead Picture Show 2.0. Sonic MyDVD 4.5 is good too, but not as easy to use if you want to add captions.
