Hi good question,

Is there any way in windows xp pro to limit the traffic speeds going through the network lets say through just one machine? I want to limit my upload and download speeds to let say 100kb/s download and 15kb/s upload..

(im not reffering to p2p or ftp programs) Wondering if there is a input command or adjustment to change these settings for "ANY" type of program in windows or jsut windows itself, (IE, Direct lan transfer...)

Not sure about that, but Netlimiter works good _http://www.netlimiter.com/ and also Bandwidth controller _http://bandwidthcontroller.com/

Maybe these can help

Try this.....at the run command type gpedit.msc.

Then under Computer Configurations\Administrative Templates\QOS Packet Scheduler\Limit Reservable Bandwidth

Check the enable box and set it to what you desire and see if tht helps.

Just a thought
