As the founder of BetaONE, I feel it is my duty to inform you of some of the latest events at this great site.
First an foremost, I must address the crew situation. Over the past two days, we have had significant problems within our crew. It was discovered that some of us couldn't work with others, and among you today are former crew members. Many resigned, but some still have faith in BetaONE, and how it will be handled.
Second, we are in the process of replacing inactive moderators with new moderators that will fill their position accordingly and be active. We are comitted to bringing you the highest quality content possible, and with inactive moderators, we cannot fulfill that commitment.
You might have noticed our new forum called IT News. We ask you to place all the info abaout software updates, the latest price wars, legal wars, etc. in this forum/ There they will be seen and the general discussion forum becomes again what it was meant for.
Over the next month - month and a half, we will be working on BetaONE 5.0. This version is more than what was stated in the announcement prior to this one. This new version will have several other enhancements such as new forums, some new crew members, and more.
We will be implementing a new policy, effective immediately, that requires at least one post within thirty days of registration. Users who fail to comply with this new policy will be deleted, and NO exceptions will be made.
There will be NO, i repeat NO BetaONE Premium service. Donations are voluntary only. We will not create a two-class system here, and will not promote it anywhere else. Donators will have the option to be recognized, or kept secret, and NEVER will we disclose the amount of money given by ANY user.
Hopefully none of these changes are too drastic for any of you. If they are, please post any comments in the Feedback forum.
FYI: No details behind any of the crew problems will be given to anyone. There are NO exceptions to this rule.
