Thx guys for thoses who have answer me here

http://www.betaone.net/index.php?showtopic=26950

But that did'nt solve any prob !!

Let me explain:

Since 2 or 3 weeks .. my computer begin to crash !!
The first week .. the PC crash 2 times a day. I was thinking that was about the New Hotfix from MS ...
So i unistall all thoses hotfix ... then .. my pc was fine for 4days.

BOOOOOMmmmm crash again .. so i was thinking that was because i unistall all thoses hotfix ... So i do a clean install of XP pro SP! ( using the Super SP1 cd from KH )

Now .. with this new install ..... ( whitout any update from MS update site ).
After a few hrs that my pc is runing ( a average of 2 days ) my screen turn to black... nothing apear on screen .... can't have access to anything.

So i reset the PC and now he did'nt boot .... i close it .. each time 15 to 30mins .. and it's boot up again !!

So i start to test each hardware in another PC ... ( except my MOBO and CPU because none of my other PC are AMD )
Everything is working fine ............

( this is a shitty story .. but this is true )

Now .. i really don't what to do .....

check in your bios, or use Asus's monitoring tools, or motherboard monitor 5, and keep an eye on your CPU and case temps. It sounds like something is overheating, be it your cpu or your mobo.

I had almost the same thing happen to me recently. With Win98, 2000 and XP, it would constantly reboot, especially when the startup screen of either of the 3 OSs would show; instant black screen, then counting up memory! It turned out to be my MB, as I was able to put my CPU in another PC and it worked. I also thought it was one of the MS "fixes" because it happened right after I applied the one that was subsequently withdrawn by MS (can't remember the Q#). The bad MB was a ASUS socket 370 board (SA6) , a decent one but it only lasted a year.

@Slipknot: Is that the kind of "Slipknot" that comes right after "Help on the Way"?
If not, never mind!

It sounds like you tested your memory, but had a very similar problem earlier this year. At first the problem just happened every now and again; it got so bad I was reformatting every week. The screen would just go black in the middle of doing something. It turned out to be bad RAM, got a new stick and everything was fine after that.

I confirm ... this is my video card .. but this card is working great in my other PC ......

I have dl old drivers and make some test ..

no one of them are working ...

Each time i install one .. that will crash my system on the boot ..
so i get back with the option '' LAST KNOW GOOD CONFIG ''

On the ati's site .. i have check all info about that ... i have do all troubleshooting they say ...... and that did'nt work .. i think i will need to buy a new vid card ..

now .... time to find money!!

( i am currenlty running this card with the Default MS driver )

Next time when these things happen again, try to view your eventlog

Hey Friend,
Ive been in same trouble.
My Video Card was overheating (GF4 ti 4600) cause the fans were close to death
Just buy two large fans and screw them onto the card.
Now it works fine.
Hope it will help you
