Have two boxes and recently purchased a data switch and cables to share resources. It appears to work except with one little glitch, Video A is a greenish yellow - not a pleasant shade. Should I take the cable back or is there another solution? :

Is it a KVM (KB, Vid, Mouse ) or a data switch with a Dial, Some of the KVM have a Hot key i.e. Ctrl-Alt-Shift to switch back an forth, (try hot keying back and forth) Did it come with cables or did you supply your own. What Brand is it? Try revsing the cable connections, If you still get the Color shift when you switch video A from one computer to the other then that is the probem. It could be the cables or the Box its self. But most likely is if it was an inexpensive KVM box , it could be cheap unshielded cables, the Cables in a Good KVM make up a big part of the price. Need a little more info.

@Phogphire
Brand: The branch is Data Switch. It has a dial or switch (Aor. Also bought all the cables at the same time. Doesn't say anything about a hot key.

Will try switching the cables around and see if that presents a solution.

Thanks!

@Cyberion
Yes, that's right you switch to A or B and it clicks. Handy little device if you have more than one box and a shortage of space.

Problem solved! Apparently you just had to jiggle (yes, highly technical term) the video cable and voila - yellow gone and beautiful screen back.

I think you had a ground problem here or a dirty connector.
Fiddling with the cable's scratches the contact's a little so they are clean again for the time being.
Even it is a new connector this will happen now an then. Corrosion is the biggest problem here.
