I have to say also, who cares? It is over. I wasn't for the war. I didn't believe that Sadam was an imminent threat to our country but he certainly was to his own people. The deed is done. Saddam is gone and the world is better for it. Now I wish they would bring our friends and loved ones home. I had a friend deployed to Iraq and another to Afghanistan. My friend in Afghanistan is still there as his wife and 5 year old wait for his return - about 8 months from now.
I never believed the whole wmd thing. Like everyone else, I assumed that he had some illegal stuff and probably got rid of it as expeditiously as possible before we launched our first missile. I had heard a report that chemicals were dumped into the Euphrates river. Was that right?
Anyway - it was never about oil or wmd - it was about GW finishing the job his father didn't imo.
