Roxio, provider of the best selling digital media software in the world announced today that it acquired Pressplay, the nation?s premier online music service. As a result, Roxio has acquired a legal digital music distribution infrastructure and catalog rights with all five major music labels. Pressplay will serve as the foundation for the launch of Roxio?s new legal on line music service under the Napster brand.

Napster was great and all, but it wont survive being relaunched. With KaZaA, and various other "free" p2p applications, who is really going to pay to download?

It still alive and kicking quite well. :P

Cant use the new 3.1 version though.

Not anything special.

Download the latest build of Napigator and Napster v2.0 BETA 10.3 or any other 2.0 beta 5 build and higher.

Run napigator and then choose a host and now u get to use napster software. Every time u open napster it connects to the new host. So yea u can still use the software, just not the napster servers, unless your a tester.

I think kazaa will stay the best although you can never have too many p2p clients :P

I have friends that really like Kazza and say music is very easy to find there,
but so far WinMX finds me anything I've wanted so far.
