Hya Rudi,
As fas as I know connecting to Netware servers come in two kinds. You can use the "Netware Client 32" witch you can download from Novell. It's great software, with lots of features that can be used to connect to servers, map drivers and printers, send messages to other users and workstations on the network. It has also has quite a few dis-advantages; it consumes loads of memory and some harddisk space, it changes the Windows GINA (the way Windows logs on to machines) and it generaly slows you machine down quite a bit. For some specific netware applications (user management and some backup programs) you do need the Client32 however.
The second option is to use the Client for Netware that Microsoft has put in every version of Windows. It has fas less functionality as the Client32, but it will give you acces to most resources on the Novell server, and that's often enough. It doesn't use much memory, and works better with Windows then the Client32.
Witch of the two ways you should choose depends on your situation.
Oh yeah, and then there is Netware 6 (and Beta7) witch allow you to install modules so you don't need any additional client software at all. The Novell server show it self to your workstations as an normal Windows Server. But, I don't know much about this.
Hope this helps.
