If u think it is the switch,
try by passing it or cut the wires from it and join the 2 wires together (pull the plug out of the socket first)
when you plug it back in and the pc powes up you know its the switch. (make sure you leave enough wire on the switch incase you find the switch was not faulty)
I had my friends pc apart trying to find out why it would'nt power up , i first thought it was the switch. it turned out to be a blown power pack.
