Cactus is an unknown quantity at this point
Hi,

A few tasks I would perform before reinstalling WinXP:

Try reinstalling the driver. It sometime helps. After that a remove might be working.

Another option is to search the registry (Local Machine, Current Control Set) for trace of the device. You'll ne RegEdt32.exe to then change the permissions on the registry key, so you can deleted it.
Be very [b:bfcfa13d05]very[/b:bfcfa13d05] cerefull with Regedit & RegEdt32. Editing or deleting the wrong keys might crash your Windows. Alway make exports of keys you wish to edit or delete. This way you can import them back to their original settings.

Hope you can solve this one, they often the worst that can happen to you.

Cheers
Cactus
