CDCheck 3.1.0.2 Beta
Beta Version
User Rating: 4.6/5
Author: Fusion
Program Type: Freeware

Download Now!
File Description: *Open ZIP Files!

CDCheck is an application that checks your CD-ROM and tells you which files are corrupted. It can also do a binary compare with copy on disk. It is especially useful for testing old CDs or just burned CDs to see if they are OK. If some files are corrupted that means it would be wise to move your data to some other media or copy it on another CD.

Changes in Current Version:
Added warning when creating hash file with filenames containing non-local characters
Improved unexpected error reporting (for easier bug fixing)
Virus protection disabled if no plugin available
Virus protection routines are protected from affecting other code as much as possible
Fixed Context menus bug
Fixed bug when checking MD5 format
Fixed Options window position bug

Download CDCheck 3.1.0.2 Beta

rikytik is an unknown quantity at this point
I'm a sucker for all programs I haven't tried. But, has anyone actually benfited from these? I've used CDR Diagnostic, currently v 1.7.2 for as long as it's been available and still haven't materially benefited from it. Never had any issues with cd burning since the modern burners came out.

Anybody?

robinwilson16 will become famous soon enoughrobinwilson16 will become famous soon enough
Mine are always ok, the only reason when it isn't is when I download images from the internet, e.g. linux which don't download properly so I get a bad burn.

Thanks this utility should be useful for detecting when an image is corrupt to save time testing it
