Copy and Paste help....

Hi guys

I'm looking for some help about a small problem with Excel.

When I use the copy command in Excel and I paste it in another cell it keeps giving me a "Cannot Empty the Clipboard" error. This seems to happen after I used the copy feature for a while. Oh , this seems to happen when using the shortcut keys, like CRTL+C then Enter.

I know I had this problem at home but got it fixed somehow. I'm using XP here at work with Office 2000.

If you can help please reply, this error is working on my nerves now.

Is Excel the only thing running? Sometimes when you have Word or something open and have been copying and pasting in that it fills up the clipboard, and thus Excel cannot empty it.

Might be a bug in XP that has been fixed in recent Service Pack updates for it.

I do have other program open, but none that I use to copy and paste with.

It's just weird....

Thanx alot Jake..... I do use getright at work and it does monitor the clipboard... I'll disable the monitor function tomorrow when I'm back at work...
