Microsoft, as expected, will add an official small business edition to its Office 11 lineup later this year.
The new SKU, called Microsoft Office Small Business 2003 Edition, will bundle updates of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher with the new Microsoft Business Content Manager 2003 application.
Microsoft had offered an OEM-only version of Office XP for small businesses, but it was not widely publicized. It was not listed with other Office SKUs on Microsoft's web site. It could only be found on Dell or Gateway sites where SMB PCs can be ordered.
