A REPORT IN the latest Microprocessor Report explores the recent deal between Big Blue and AMD to work on future 65 nanometer and 45 nanometer technology.
And it says that the deal will take some pressure off AMD in its race to keep at the front edge of future chip technology.

The article also wonders whether the next step will be for IBM to become a foundry to make future microprocessors for AMD ? that's still unclear and perhaps remains academic until shipments of CPUs begin to ramp up a notch.

since all pc system in the whole has to be IBM compatible.
then may as well IBM mfg their own cpu? gpu?
wouldn't tat be 100% compatible.
but of cos that would not happen. it is impossible.
