In a configuration like this, all that you can do is fill "Upload" Requests for folks. You would need the Network Admin to place a machine in the "DMZ" before its Visible from the outside.

Now if someone sent you an E-Mail message and your E-Mail reader knew how to start up a File Transfer from the message......

I´m also in the same situation at work. Unfortunately not a softwarehouse but a goverment paper industry...
Uploading from there using ftp is okey as long as the other end runs the server using port 21. Other ports are blocked for me using ftp-protocol...
