I wonder if anyone could help me. My friend turned on there computer this morning and most of his desktop icons have been overlaid with the microsoft outlook express icon symbols. He has tried to get rid of them; but with no success; doesn't seem to be a file association problem; it just effects any desktop icons and icons on the start menu; he says he can actually see the outlines of the original icons underneath Outlook Express ones; also his virus definations are right upto date.
His virus/firewall is Esafe. Any help on this would be very much appreciated.
This part "he says he can actually see the outlines of the original icons underneath Outlook Express ones" puzzles me. But what happens if he run repair icons (in Tweak UI)?
