yes, you only need one of them, I have 5 computers conected to one 8 port router, all I had to do was turn everything off, plug in the cables to computer and then the router, and then the router to the cable and the turn everything on, the router configured itself to the internet and then the router configured itself to the computers and assigned each one an ip. and took care of the rest. I am trying to make this simple, understandable I don't know if I am succeding tho. Stay away from the hub, it shares bandwidth between computers, the switch and router do not share.
