when i'm on the net or even programs on my computer. when i shut them down they stay on the taskbar. if i click the icon 3-4 times i will get a message saying that this program will shut down continue or cancel. how can i stop this.
using winxp pro with sp1

Hmmm, have you tried killing the programs in taskmanager?
