After reading BearCat's answer I can't even remember my own name , let alone remember who invented ice-cream.

Anwser: Ice cream was invented by the Italians. Or was it ?Some people think that the Italian explorer Marko Polo got the recipe from China in 1295.

Note another source claims that Ice-cream was invented by a Frechman called Gerald Tissain in 1620.

It seems there are many stories but it seems noone can be sure about the true origin.
