i want to connect my laptop to the pc to download some files off it.i connected the two computers using ethernet cards and crossover cable.but in both the computers it says network cable unplugged.i ran the home network wizzard in win xp but no avail.wot shall i do?

the cable works fine when i plug it in to my nokia ni500 router.

yr router is: 10Base-T or 10/100Base-T
is the card on your PC 10M or 100M, and the card on yr laptop??
