FOLLOWING A SUCCESSFUL LAUNCHon the PlayStation 2, Electronic Arts has announced that it will be releasing The Sims for both the Xbox and the GameCube. Supposedly the biggest selling game in the world, it lets you take control of little computer people and run their lives.

Assuming the game is a straight port of the PlayStation 2 version, you'll start out in the 'Get a Life' mode. That gives you control of a single Sim through all their life's major trials and tribulations. It's essentially a tutorial and, while most new players like the feature, many seasoned Sims fanatics are less keen. Once you've got past that, you can play a full on version of The Sims just like the original PC version.
