I found this in English - everything else I came across was in Russian.

KSI Linux is the very first Linux distribution in post-soviet which "speaks" Russian and Ukrainian fluently. The KSI-Linux project also intends a translation of more than 20000 pages of system documentation to Russian and Ukrainian.

this is just a guess.
