On December 23 Red Hat Linux released Phoebe, its first beta of the upcoming 8.1 release, as an early Christmas present for all of us Linux geeks. As soon as I heard of its release I hit the mirrors to try it out. I downloaded the 3 binary ISO's and burned them to CD. Note that all 3 are required now even for a default install.

I used to like RedHat before v8 came out. 7.3 was great, but now RH reminds me more of teletubbies than of linux. What RedHat is doing wrong is that they try to make Linux user friendly, which is not possible...

I agree with you Nic but in order for linux to be accepted by the masses, it needs to be more user friendly.
