File Settings

Why am I constantly having to adjust file options every time I open (for instance)My Computer I have to readjust the file setting-detail,item,icons, tiles etc. Can any one help with this seemingly no brainer of a question. I have XP Home edition installed. Thanks all

Set it the way you want it and then go to tools\folder options\view\ and click 'apply to all folders'.
