Hi,

I've been using 5.0.0537 for about 10 days without any problems at all. It actually seems to work really well now too. I never used to use the MSN version (always used Windows Messenger) but this new MSN version seems to have more of the improved technology (ie: audio, video etc). The only problem I've had was one time doing a joint Flight Simulator 2002 session on it, with a person over 10,000 miles away. After about 45 minutes Flight Sim crashed. Considering all the nodes it had to be going through, I thought that was still pretty good though. It was probably more system related than Messenger too. I think the new MSN Messenger works great. There's a little app floating around that will remove that advertising crap from the bottom of it too (sorry, I can't find it right now).

Enjoy,
E3

Easy to fix the hang problem. Just uninstall windows messenger then rename the old messenger file to somthing else. I did it and it works fine. Not by uninstalling in the add/remove program though just by running this command

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
