hi, i downloaded nimo codec pack and installed it fully. while installing an error message saying error copying file for some file. i know that was a mp3 codec config file or something. so after windows xp's system file protection popped up and said to maintain the system reliability, i inserted the "Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 CD" to replace the equivalent digitally signed file.
as i don't have such a CD (have only Windows XP Professional and installed SP1 using online) i couldn't replace the file. i had to press 'cancel' and i know that that digitally not signed file is still there, by running file signature verification.
will i have to slipstream service pack 1 CD to insert?
please give your ideas

looks like no one has got that problem yet.
however, i fixed it up by delecting the digitally not signed file from Windows\System32 although i know that is not a good way to do it

if u install Nimo Full Pack (Version 8) then go for a basic installation. Never go for a full installation. Also if u wanna install the Nimo Lite Pack then go for the full version. the basic installation doesn't cover every codec.

perhaps u guys remember this old thread

today i found a solution for this!!!

damn we need to insert the exact CD it asks for. and it is Windows XP Professional/Home Edition SP1 CD.
i had to slipstream XP SP1 and create a CD.

so that means:
if one person downloads SP1 from the website and install it in his XP. and stuffs his digitally signed system files, and Windows asks to install Windows XP Professional/Home Edition SP1 CD and he has no CD Burner -- he is fully stuffed

i dunno whether M$ thought about this
