guys...im planning to buy the $20 PC133 256 RAM (PQI brand) and installed in my box...but im not sure if it is compatible with my mobo and my other RAM. my mobo is GIGABYTE III 667 and I have 2 128 PC 133 KINGSTON.
the dealer said it will! what do u think? should i buy that ram?

I haven't had any problems mixing memory and never have heard of any. So it should work.

You should have no problem mixing memory. They recommend using the same, but you will be fine. Now if it was like RDRAM - you would need the same memory in a channel.
If you plan on overclocking at all, I would recommend you use the same.
But you will be fine [img]smile.gif[/img]

same brand or not, it is not going to matter, buy it and i gurantee you won't have any problems

I agree that 98% of the time mixing ram is no problem, but trust me some motherboards can be picky. Just make sure you have no problems after you install it - run a benchmark like sisoft sandra - and if there is a problem bring it back for a different chip I had to do this twice with one of my mobo's must stores are good with this.
