guys...which is better in XP? I have an external modem US Robotics 56K Message, Internal 56K Motorola and Im planning to buy a USB DLINK 56K modem!

Opinion is highly appreciated!!!

make sure you dont use a WinModem, so check to see if the internal is a WinModem, they are kinda like integrated graphics (which suck) [img]redface.gif[/img] , those externals sound nice..

You probably will get the most stable connections and highest transfer speeds with the modem from US Robotics.

If you want to buy a new one,

Be shure that is an hardware modem, not a winmodem

Hardware modem are most faster and reliable than winmodem.

I have an Aopen_FM56_ITU2 56000 ISA and I like it.

With an hardware modem you can go on Linux and windows.

Linux don't like winmodem
