NetCaptor can best be described as a custom browser application. NetCaptor is a standalone application that uses services provided by Microsoft Internet Explorer to render and navigate HTML. NetCaptor currently requires Internet Explorer 4/5 to be installed on the client computer in order to function. NetCaptor runs under Windows 95, 98, NT4, ME, 2000 and XP and requires that IE is installed (though you don't have to use it).
FEATURES:
PopupCaptor override. This worked in beta 1, but wasn't documented. Holding down CTRL will bypass PopupCaptor and allow all new window/tabs to open.
CHANGES:
PopupCaptor "block unrequested popups" continues to be enhanced.
This version fixes all reported problems. Some issues remain, however, with sites which do stupid javascript new window redirecting (e.g. Microsoft web-based Outlook). These are trully unrequested popups, and NetCaptor blocks accordingly.
To override the block, simply hold down CTRL while clicking.
CTRL + Z interfered with text box editting and other features, so we replaced it with CTRL + Q. Sorry for the hassle. For the record, CTRL + Q can be used to reopen the last closed tab.
FIXES:
Fixed double back-space issue when using wysiwyg editors with embedded IE like Hotmail uses (rich-text), also online Outlook.
Fixed problem with NetCaptor not always coming to the front when activated from a different application.
