Don't worry, this is the software support section, so your question is posted at the right place.
As for your problem, it seems you did have a trial version. Is it possible that you didn't uninstall an earlier preview/evaluation version of NAV2003? If so remove all NAV software, then reinstall from the original CD.
If all else fail, the CD might be corrupted. All you need to do is go back to where you purchased it, and get yourself some new media.
