Anybody install Mac o/s on a virtual pc? whether running it on Linux or windows? Just wondering if it's possible to "check out" the Mac o/s without haveing a Mac machine.

AFAIK no. I think it has something to do with the difference in architectures. Anyway you would have to read up about it or ask the supoort guys.

Ok craftyc. Looks like the Mac os 10 system comes in an image file (dmg) you can't run from windows or VMWare. Seemed kind of interesting to try out. Always looking for Windows alternatives, but Windows always seems to win out. <heh heh> Sorry, I know you are a Linux advocate. <big grin> I keep a Linux o/s on my virtual pc and keep working with it. One of these days....

Linux could be run on a Mac or Windows environment. also Windows could be run on a Linux Environment, but not Mac on a Linux or Windows Environment - according to my knowledge

As long as gaming is a big part of computers windows will not be replaced. At the moment, that is about the only thing thats keeps me from switching. Most all the major game makers release server configs for linux but thats where they stop
