The David Rumsey Map Collection
My mom had been doing some genealogy and wanted to add a map of the area she was working on. But she was using a current map. I said let me see if I can find
some maps of the 1800's. I found this site and found a map of less than 3 years from the date she was working on.
The historical map collection has over 22,000 maps and images online. The collection focuses on rare 18th and 19th century North American and South American
maps and other cartographic materials. Historic maps of the World, Europe, Asia, and Africa are also represented.
