Unreal Tournament 2003

Anyone else try the demo yet?
It's an OK game played great for me with all settings maxed but I didn't like it and won't buy it.
Where do they get off calling it Unreal Tournament? it should be called Quake tournament, they ruined a great game by turning into Quake.

Yeah maybe the final full version is a completely different game that I'll like that is more like UT instead of Quake

Come on , it's not THAT bad... I got what I expected - Another Unreal Tournament (which was quake-like to begin with) just with much better graphics. As far as buying the game, i'll prolly get battlefield 1942 instead. Actually, I know I will.

i think mohaa would be better off......there is the story line and i really love that game....

also is the rtcw3d.......just too great

Played MOHAA finished it in less than a week, liked it no desire to play again.
I would like to play wolfenstien though.

Where can I get the demo? I saw it advertised at Gamespot, but you have to DL their software downloader. Anyplace with a direct full download link?

NM...just googled and Unrealtournament2003.com arrives...LOL

BTW...the game IS gold, so don't expect too many changes. There WILL be undoubtedly many patches just like UT had and UT 436 is quite different from the first release, but still...I will reserve my judgement for now. :P

Well, it SHOULD run. I have a 1.4 Ghz AMD with a Geforce II pro, but it freezes as soon as the map starts to render with one of the classic GPF errors the unreal engine produces. It might be that I am using the Nvidia 40.xx beta drivers. Don't know yet...

From what I DID see in the few seconds it ran, it does feel quite a bit more "Quakish" compared to UT...so I think they tried harder to emulate Quake III this time, but the reason I loved UT was exactly that it -wasn't- Quake...ah well. I would like to try to actually play it though.
