adams is an unknown quantity at this point
I bought a brand new atx power supply (400w) and i was going to make sure it worked before i stuck it in a computer so I connected the cord to it and plugged it in and the fans won't come on. Now I've tested other power supply's out like this and their fans have came on. Does it need to be connected to the motherboard for some reason or is it just dead? btw, its a switching power supply (whatever that is) thanks.
