New developments in Intel's existing line of Core 2 microprocessors have been pretty quiescent lately. That's no surprise, really. With a commanding performance lead over the competition, fairly efficient power utilization, and new architecture and process technology refinements, there's no point in pushing the existing 65nm CPUs much further in the near term.
