APPLE'S IPHONE, should it prove a success, will have hackers and crackers lining up to nobble it, insecurity experts warned.
A spokesman for IBM's security division, Internet Security Systems, told
Information Week that the hype around the phone makes it a target.
"It's going to be challenging for the bad guys to exploit them like they do other [smart phones] but there will be a lot of individuals willing to try because of the amount of buzz around it" said Neel Mehta.
But, since Apple isn't telling anyone how to write applications for the phone, Mehta reckons it will be harder to write worms and viruses to exploit it. "It's going to be much harder to write worms or viruses for that platform, " he said. See?
