AMD website shows off Radeon X2900
When help helps too much

IN A BID to find out the retail name of upcoming R600 series of products, a sharp-eyed reader did a search on ati.com for the Radeon X2900. Instead of getting an error or something similar, the search pointed him to Knowledge Base - part of the site, where owners of RadeonTM X2900 graphics cards appear to be having problems with .NET-powered Catalyst Control Centre when running Windows XP Professional X64 Edition.


Dummy search on ATI.com yields unexpected results...

This is easily soluble by installing the March revision of AMD's Catalyst drives, also known as Catalyst 7.3.

Since this help page is positioned in a part of Knowledge Base that covers X1950 series of cards, this could be a typo. All will be revealed to hacks and partners in Tunisia, in mere two and half weeks from now. The INQuirer
