Abit talks about KN9 SLI
Nforce 5 revealed, pictured
ABIT HAS spilled some beans about its next-generation Nforce 5 motherboard.

The company will unveil the board around Computex time, but it looks quite finished to us. The outfit with a new logo already made some nice pictures of it.

The board is called KN9 and it supports AMD's upcoming socket AM2 CPUs. It also supports DDR 2 memory and it is an SLI board. Abit continues its tradition of cooling the chipsets with a heat pipe and that suggests the board will be quite a quiet one.

The board has two PCIe 1X slots and a two in good-old PCIe flavour, just enough for a PhysX and a decent Sound Blaster card. The board comes with two Network adaptors, four USB 2.0 ports a sound out and a PS2 port.

It supports dual-channel DDR 2 800 and uses the Nforce 570 SLI MCP chipset. Here are the pictures to feast your eyes on. You can see the new logo on the box.
