AN EXPLOIT for one of the worst Windows 2000 vulnerabilities that Microsoft patched on Tuesday has already been spotted in the wild.
The remote exploit is aimed at the MSDTC vulnerability on Windows 2000 systems and security boffins fear that it could be used to create Zotob type worm attacks.
According to Symantec, the exploit was made available to customers of Immunity Security's Canvas vulnerability tool, which means that a worm will be out in the wild soon.
A spokesSymantec said that if Immunity can write an exploit than others will, too. People should expect something in pretty short order.
He urged companies to rush through testing of Microsoft's patch and get it installed in their systems post haste. More
