Inventor of TCP/IP joins Google
VINT CERF, credited with the development of Internet protocol TCP/IP, has joined Google.
Cerf, who is a senior VP at MCI, will become a VP of Internet "evangelism" at Google and is expected to take an active role in software development there.
He is also chairman of ICANN. According to reports, Cerf approached Google about lending a hand.
