Raid762 is an unknown quantity at this point
what type/model drive is it , I was dealing with WD's , make sure your bios is set to fully auto for drive detection , I always use the CABLE Select jumper position when I have 2 drives on the cable , the Primary/boot drive is on the end of the cable.
Make sure you do not have a limiting jumper connected ,I seem to recall seeing a drive that could be limitet to 36gb by a jumper on the back , dont recall the brand
