A REPORT FROM Associated Press said Nintendo is developing another console in a bid to compete with Sony.
The console is codenamed Revolution but it won't be available even in prototype form until next year, and it won't be a development of the Game Cube, either.
According to AP, Nintendo's president Satoru Iwata gave scant details of Revolution but made the point that next generation machines using super chips might not be the answer to consoles.
That suggests that Nintendo is attempting to outflank both Sony and Microsoft without having to pour gazillions into R&D.
