i have just received this error msg and now i cnt connect to my internet...........im running winxp.........my dsl line is connected from my modem to my router to my mobo................no e-card
msg reads: "an error occurred while renewing interface local area connection 4: an operation was attempted on something that is not a socket."
that's it ........now so u know i used winxp tools and ran my test:winsock/v and it failed........
from there i regedit;;; and tried to delete the winsock from the heykey_local_MACH/SYSTEM/CONTROLSET 001 AND 002/services/winsock:::
i tried deleting both winsock from here while hoping that the shells would regen ........but no luck........
i cnt seem to get my gaming computer back up and connected,,,,,,,,,dont no how the connection got broken.......or how deep..........any help or links would be very helpful...........thank you for ur time..........bloodrunner
