All,

I've got a ton of Audio/Video gear in my house, but I'm still unsure of composite vs. component (use mostly coaxial and what I know to be RCA). I know my gear has RCA connectors (at least the ones I want to hook up), but I don't know if composite and component can be used interchangeably. So, I need to be sure before I make my purchase since I have to purchase on-line and I'm not even for sure want I want to do will even work. Since I'm looking at about a 40' A/V connection (video and left/right audio), the expense will hurt a bit if I have to eat it. So, appreciate any expert answers before I make the plunge. And also any advice where I can buy RCA composite and/or component of this length.

FYI, I'm going to use an A/V Y-splitter http://www.crutchfield.com/S-2UN1G91...sp?i=5683104HQ from a cable box descrambler in the hopes of using it with my both living room TV, where it works now, and my bedroom TV about 40' away.

Thanks in advance for helping out.

Tortaka
