The Power Calibration error is normal.
I use a Iomega 650Zip writer with Verbatim Crystal cd-r media, it kept having the error.
But then when I burn the cd-r media with a TDK 48/24/48, it completed without a hitch.
You can also blame it on the quality of the writer on the so call compatibility of the writer with certain approved medias. And when I use another type of media brand on the Iomega writer, there wasn't any problem with the burning.
Both I tried with the same burning software, Easy CD Creator 4 and Clone CD.
