Today, many people receive large amounts of emails. The most time-consuming task, aside from reading and responding to those emails, is keeping track of them. Personally, I receive anywhere from 50 - 250 emails daily. Eventually, I end up with over a thousand read emails in my Inbox and hundreds in my Sent Items. So, I tried to automate the process. I started creating Outlook Rules using the rules wizard. I had to set up two rules per client (one for incoming and one for outgoing) and they would not handle email from multiple people. So if I got email from
frank@myclient.com and
bob@myclient.com, I would need two rules per person...four rules total. Then, I couldn't add any more rules! It seems that Microsoft put a limit on the amount of rules that you can have: roughly 40 rules. That means 20 clients (2 rules - incoming and outgoing - per client). So, if you have more than 20 clients, you can't use the rules wizard.
